Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver trauma-informed counseling services to individuals, couples, and families using tailored approaches that adhere to clients' unique goals and backgrounds.

• Incorporate biblical counseling techniques and principles into therapy sessions for clients seeking a faith-centered counseling experience.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans through ongoing assessments, collaborating with clients to set realistic and achievable goals.

• Provide telehealth counseling services to clients referred through partnering local churches, fostering an integrated, community-based approach to care.

• Engage in active community outreach to build your caseload, network with local organizations, and explore new referral opportunities.

• Work with other mental health professionals, including social workers and clinical counselors, to create a comprehensive care plan tailored to client needs.

• Maintain up-to-date client records and documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in compliance with established timelines and regulations.

• Maintain open communication with the center director regarding availability, scheduling preferences, and client progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Soul Restore Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals and families navigating a range of challenges stemming from trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Our holistic approach emphasizes both mental health treatment and spiritual support, attracting clients who value integration of faith in their healing process.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a closely related field is required.
\n
• Current independent licensure in Washington, D.C. as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Candidates in the latter stages of obtaining licensure, with at least 200 hours of residency, are also welcome to apply.

• A deep understanding of biblical counseling techniques and a strong commitment to a Christian worldview.

• Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) or willing to complete EMDR basic training within the first three months of employment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients of diverse backgrounds and age groups.

• A compassionate and empathetic approach to counseling, with the ability to foster trust and rapport with clients.

• Strong ethical standards and a keen ability to maintain confidentiality in all client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of one year of experience in trauma-focused counseling is essential.

• Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland is highly desired.

• Experience with collaborative care and working alongside multidisciplinary teams will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor role offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $105,000 per year.
