Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients' trauma histories and establish appropriate treatment paths.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental well-being.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Assist patients in processing their trauma experiences, developing effective coping strategies, and facilitating healing through structured therapeutic sessions.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to provide cohesive and integrated mental health care to all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calm demeanor in high-stress situations.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the resources available to support healing.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, incorporating new methodologies as appropriate.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse patient population consisting of trauma survivors dealing with conditions such as PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. Many of our patients come to us looking for holistic support to regain their sense of safety and establish healthy patterns in their lives. As a therapist, you will play a pivotal role in guiding them through their emotional recovery and equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably with trauma-informed populations.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building approaches.

• Excellent therapeutic skills with a focus on trauma-focused methodologies, along with outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Ability to remain composed during high-stress scenarios, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other digital tools pertinent to telehealth.

• A collaborative spirit with an eagerness to contribute to a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
