Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and tailor treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.

• Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies to help ensure patient safety and stabilization.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation as per legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations and multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance treatment efficacy.

• Stay well-informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually refine your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is primarily geared towards supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, specifically those facing challenges related to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding patients through their recovery journeys, fostering resilience, and empowering them to regain control over their lives.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.

• Ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations while providing support to patients.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with relevant technology.

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, reflecting the level of experience and expertise of the successful candidate.
