Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Kanza, you will:

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s history and needs, ensuring personalized care.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on trauma recovery techniques and resilience-building strategies tailored to each client.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and others to facilitate effective healing.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space where patients can process their trauma, learn coping mechanisms, and foster emotional resilience.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to integrate comprehensive care solutions that meet the complex needs of our patients.

• Offer crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, acting swiftly and compassionately to support those in distress.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources for better understanding and empowerment.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, ensuring complete compliance with best practices.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a collective knowledge base aimed at continuous improvement in trauma-informed care.

• Stay updated with current research, methodologies, and therapeutic practices in trauma therapy to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications\n

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

While a minimum of two years of direct experience as a licensed mental health counselor is required, we prefer candidates with:

Compensation and Benefits\n
