Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing the therapist to conduct sessions via telehealth while reaching clients in the comfort and privacy of their own homes. We provide a flexible work schedule with core operating hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although some adjustments may be necessary to meet patient needs. The utilization of telehealth technology enables our therapists to engage effectively and empathetically with clients, no matter their location.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history, thereby identifying the most effective treatment approaches.

• Collaborate with patients to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that specifically target healing and resilience-building.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address the unique needs of trauma survivors.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for participants to process trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and promote overall healing.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for all patients.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources, further enhancing their understanding and recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in line with ethical standards and legal requirements.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care excellence.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continually enhance therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will work with are primarily trauma survivors facing challenges associated with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role is central to their healing journey, providing them with therapeutic strategies tailored to their unique experiences. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Demonstrable understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Proficiency in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions and evidence-based practices.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, paired with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach toward clients.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations, ensuring the safety and trust of the client is prioritized.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
\n
• A commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with at least two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling will find their skill set particularly well-suited to our team's needs. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities for trauma recovery is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to financial compensation, you will benefit from:
