Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and current mental health conditions, establishing appropriate treatment protocols.

• Design and implement customized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building, adjusting as necessary based on patient progress.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to promote healing and coping strategies.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and enhance their emotional coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, responding empathetically and effectively to patient needs.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and the resources available to support their healing journey.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing insights and participating in discussions focused on improving trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research, advancements, and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Mental Health Therapist will primarily serve adult clients who are survivors of trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This role necessitates a deep understanding of the unique challenges and recovery pathways associated with trauma, allowing the therapist to tailor treatment strategies effectively to support each individual’s healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must hold a current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health services is preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to client care.

• A proven ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.

The compensation for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
