Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to gauge patients' trauma history, needs, and goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients navigate their trauma experiences, coping strategies, and healing processes.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans and ensure continuity of care.

• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, helping patients through trauma-related emergencies with compassion and expertise.

• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers about trauma responses, available resources, and coping mechanisms to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Document patient progress and treatment plans in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards using electronic health records (EHR).

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will work closely with diverse patient populations affected by trauma, including individuals coping with PTSD, complex trauma, and other related mental health challenges. Your role is pivotal in creating a safe environment where these individuals can heal, share their experiences, and develop effective coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical or community setting, particularly focused on trauma therapy.

• Demonstrated experience delivering trauma-focused therapies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
