Person-centered Psychology Services is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist to enhance our team. In this full-time remote role, you will play a crucial part in providing specialized and compassionate mental health care to individuals impacted by various forms of trauma, particularly those coping with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setup while being a part of a dynamic team dedicated to trauma-informed care. You will engage in consistent virtual collaboration with other healthcare professionals, ensuring that patients receive integrated and comprehensive mental health support. While the bulk of the work will be conducted remotely, occasional team meetings may occur either in-person or virtually.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments, evaluating patients' histories to inform personalized treatment plans.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and strengthening resilience through evidence-based methodologies.

• Utilize therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group therapy sessions.

• Foster a safe space during therapy sessions where patients can process traumatic experiences, while equipping them with coping strategies to navigate daily challenges.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that a holistic and integrated approach to patient care is maintained.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support in instances of trauma-related emergencies, utilizing your expertise to guide patients through difficult times.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and community resources available for ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in alignment with ethical guidelines and legal standards while being mindful of patient privacy.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights and best practices in trauma-informed care.

• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying current with the latest research and developments in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals affected by trauma, including but not limited to victims of abuse, assault, and other distressing life events. This role emphasizes understanding the unique resilience of each patient and constructing a therapeutic alliance that promotes their healing and self-discovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCMHC, LMFT, LCPC, or LCMFT in Maryland.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing mental health services is preferred.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building techniques.

• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.

• A calm and composed demeanor during high-stress situations, ensuring patient safety and support.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications is necessary.

• Ability to collaborate seamlessly as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in trauma-informed care or specialized certifications in trauma therapies may be prioritized. Familiarity with community resources to assist trauma survivors will be seen as an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits\n
