Key Responsibilities\n

As a Trauma-Focused Mental Health Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique trauma history, and subsequently determining appropriate treatment modalities that align with their needs.

• Developing tailored treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, integrating resilience-building strategies that empower clients.

• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group settings.

• Engaging in collaborative case discussions with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.

• Providing crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and immediate support.
\n
• Educating patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and navigating available resources, fostering an environment of understanding and support.

• Maintaining thorough and confidential documentation, aligning with legal and ethical standards while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participating in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals recovering from trauma, particularly survivors of PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This role is crucial in offering compassionate support to clients as they navigate their healing journeys, fostering resilience while addressing the emotional and psychological impacts of trauma.

Qualifications\n

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications, ensuring effective documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with:
