Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patient histories and identify suitable treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that target trauma recovery and encourage resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to positively impact patient outcomes.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that allow patients to process their trauma and establish effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating leadership and calmness under pressure.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources to foster independence and understanding.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and enhance our collective understanding of trauma-informed care.

• Stay current with emerging research and best practices within the fields of trauma therapy and mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals who have experienced significant emotional and psychological trauma. The patient population includes survivors of major traumas, those with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and related psychological conditions. This role requires a thorough understanding of the impact of trauma on mental health and the skills necessary to navigate various therapeutic modalities.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders, including an understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building approaches.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly in trauma-focused therapies, is preferred. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, as well as familiarity with collaborative treatment frameworks, is advantageous for this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
