Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for the flexibility to work from home while still remaining engaged with your colleagues through virtual meetings and collaborative planning. Our workdays typically adhere to a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although some flexibility may be needed to accommodate patient schedules and needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop suitable treatment strategies.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans emphasizing trauma recovery and resilience enhancement.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and achieve personal healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to provide integrated and holistic care for patients.

• Offer crisis intervention support and develop plans for responding effectively to trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and community resources available for additional support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards across electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focused on enhancing trauma-informed care delivery.

• Stay informed about the latest research, best practices, and advancements in trauma therapy methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, ranging from acute incidents to prolonged exposure to challenging life circumstances. We cater to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, each with unique needs and backgrounds. Our therapists are essential in guiding these individuals toward recovery and resilience through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Virginia.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
