Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to thoroughly evaluate patients' unique histories and needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and holistic well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on processing trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and promoting emotional healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other specialists to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, using your expertise to stabilize and reassure patients.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and coping mechanisms to foster understanding and involvement in the healing process.

• Maintain up-to-date, accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress in line with ethical and legal standards.

• Continuously participate in professional development activities, such as case consultations and workshops that focus on trauma-informed care practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to serving adults and adolescents experiencing the effects of trauma. Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Possession of strong interpersonal skills and a non-judgmental, empathetic approach when interacting with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a trauma-focused setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
