Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing therapists to connect with clients through a blend of teletherapy and in-person sessions at our outpatient office. You will work Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some adaptability to accommodate patient needs, making it essential to maintain a balance between personal and professional commitments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to gather insights about each patient’s unique trauma history.

• Develop individualized treatment plans targeting the specific needs of each patient, focusing on trauma recovery and strategies for building resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to provide the most effective care.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions where patients are encouraged to discuss their experiences, learn coping techniques, and promote their healing journey.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to provide integrated care that addresses the comprehensive needs of our patients.

• Be available for crisis intervention, offering immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about the impacts of trauma, healthy coping strategies, and available resources to empower their recovery efforts.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in case consultations, regular team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, natural disasters, and other life-altering events. Your expertise will be essential in guiding them through their recovery process and helping them navigate the symptoms associated with PTSD and other trauma-related disorders. You will foster a therapeutic alliance that emphasizes trust, safety, and understanding, creating a supportive atmosphere that encourages healing.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York is required.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly with trauma-focused therapy.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver trauma-focused therapies with empathy and skill.

• Excellent communication abilities, with a compassionate, respectful, and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of experience post-licensure is required, candidates with extensive experience in trauma-informed therapy and a strong understanding of resilience-building approaches will be prioritized. Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
