Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and establish appropriate treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment strategies that focus on trauma recovery and nurturing resilience in patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to provide effective interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and promote overall healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multi-disciplinary team members to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies to support clients in distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available support resources, fostering a greater understanding of coping strategies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to legal and ethical standards for documentation.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to promote best practices and ongoing professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position will focus on serving a diverse patient population, primarily consisting of individuals coping with the effects of trauma. The therapist will work closely with these clients to help them navigate their trauma recovery journeys, employing targeted strategies designed to empower them in their healing process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n
