Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans that synergize evidence-based approaches with the therapeutic needs of clients.

• Delivering specialized therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), both in individual and group settings.

• Facilitating group therapy sessions that encourage support and sharing among peers, enhancing healing through community.

• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and integrated care for clients.

• Providing crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, equipping clients with immediate coping strategies and support.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build trust and rapport with each patient.

• The capacity to remain calm in challenging situations and deliver therapy effectively.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for clinical documentation and care management.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with 2 years of post-licensure experience will likely excel in this role.
