Work Environment\n

The position is based in our outpatient office, but we offer a remote work setting that prioritizes flexibility and work-life balance. While the standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility may be required to accommodate patient needs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive approach to each client's treatment plan.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments that evaluate each patient's history and therapeutic needs to establish appropriate treatment goals.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that are tailored to support the unique recovery journey of each client.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process their trauma, cultivate coping strategies, and promote overall healing.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and integrated care.
\n
• Respond to crisis situations, providing immediate support and interventions for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, practical coping mechanisms, and available resources for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing actively to discussions about group curriculum development and patient care strategies.

• Participate in ongoing professional development activities and stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including military veterans, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals coping with significant life changes or loss. You will prioritize creating a non-judgmental atmosphere that fosters trust, allowing clients to navigate their recovery journeys effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders, effective trauma-informed treatment practices, and resilience-building methodologies.
\n
• Proficient communication skills that reflect a compassionate and empathetic approach, capable of engaging with clients effectively.

• A strong capacity to manage high-stress situations while exhibiting composure and professionalism.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience, focusing on trauma-informed care.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

• Experience facilitating trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Bright Minds Crisis Intervention Clinic offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
