Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a close connection with our outpatient office. Our clinical team values collaboration and communication, ensuring that you have the support needed to succeed in your role. You will generally work a schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some necessary flexibility to accommodate patient needs, reflecting our commitment to providing accessible mental health services.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients' histories and challenges while establishing appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery while promoting resilience and healing.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient growth.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, cultivate coping mechanisms, and engage in their healing journey.

• Work in collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide patients with comprehensive, integrated care that targets their specific needs.

• Respond to crisis situations with professionalism and confidence, providing immediate support and intervention as necessary.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping strategies while guiding them to available resources within the community.

• Ensure meticulous record-keeping and documentation in adherence to legal and ethical requirements, thereby safeguarding patient confidentiality.

• Engage in clinical case consultations and team meetings to promote collaborative clinical decision-making and continuous improvement in care delivery.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices within the field of trauma therapy to refine therapeutic approaches and treatment modalities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and associated dissociative disorders. This role requires a deep understanding of trauma's psychological effects and a compassionate approach to recovery, ensuring each patient receives tailored support and guidance on their path to wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred, with a focus on trauma-informed care.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and familiarity with various trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to care.

• Capability to remain composed in high-stress situations while demonstrating effective crisis intervention skills.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other standard computer applications.

• Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment, engaging positively with colleagues and contributing to a collaborative culture.

Compensation and Benefits\n
