Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and intake interviews to evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting all findings accurately.

• Develop individualized treatment plans focusing on the identified needs and goals of clients, encompassing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, maintaining a supportive environment that encourages open dialogue and positive outcomes.

• Monitor and document client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and therapeutic goals.

• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care and treatment integration.

• Manage a case load effectively, adhering to best practices and ethical standards of care established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Provide crisis intervention services as needed, ensuring that clients feel supported and safe during challenging times.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clients will encompass a range of presentations, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, relationship issues, and trauma-related conditions. Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A minimum of two years of experience in clinical mental health counseling, particularly in a setting that emphasizes individualized care.

• Competency in utilizing electronic health record systems, with preferred experience in systems such as AVATAR, to enhance patient documentation and communication.

• Experience addressing co-occurring physical health issues and substance use disorders.

• A strong familiarity with the principles and ethics put forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledge of the pharmacological interventions clients may be receiving enhances therapeutic relationships and counseling effectiveness.

• Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques, ensuring client safety at all times.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
