Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments by interviewing clients and documenting their case history to tailor personalized treatment plans.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health, utilizing various assessment tools and clinical interviews.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized recovery plans for clients of all backgrounds, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities suited to client needs.
\n
• Monitor and assess clients’ progress throughout their treatment journey, making adjustments to intervention plans as necessary.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to refine and enhance treatment approaches.
\n
• Conduct follow-ups with hospital staff or psychiatrists for clients admitted for inpatient care, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Identify and intervene in behaviors that may hinder client recovery, providing clients and their families with strategies for overcoming challenges.
\n
• Support family members and caregivers in understanding and managing their loved ones’ mental health needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role emphasizes working with diverse patient populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. The combination of remote service delivery and a holistic approach to mental wellness allows our counselors to make a substantial impact on the lives of individuals we serve.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) with a passing score.

• Proficient use of electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, for documentation and case management.
\n
• Strong understanding of both physical and emotional health conditions, as well as experience with clients coping with addiction disorders.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, ideally in a telehealth or remote setting.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• In-depth knowledge of pharmacological interventions prescribed by other healthcare providers and their effects.

Compensation and Benefits\n
