Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews and document cases meticulously, tracing progress from initial consultation to treatment completion.

• Assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, utilizing standardized assessments and clinical tools.
\n
• Develop targeted intervention and recovery plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate dynamic group therapy sessions and one-on-one counseling, employing a range of therapeutic approaches to encourage engagement and healing.

• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process and adjust intervention plans as necessary, ensuring optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with other health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and a multidisciplinary team, to provide integrated care for clients.

• Support families and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

• Contribute to the enhancement of our service delivery by staying informed about the latest advancements in psychotherapy and best practices dictated by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor in clinical settings, particularly in telehealth.

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, ideally AVATAR.
\n
• Understanding of various physical and emotional health conditions, alongside addiction and recovery processes.

• Superb written and verbal communication skills, marked by the ability to convey empathy and understanding.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with a deep-rooted compassion and a commitment to client success.
