The Carmelite Behavioral Health Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R) to join our dedicated team. This remote position focuses on providing specialized, trauma-informed mental health care through innovative telehealth solutions. Work Environment\n

This position will primarily be remote, allowing you to deliver therapy from the comfort of your home while still being an integral part of our collaborative team. Our telehealth platform is state-of-the-art, enhancing the therapeutic experience for both clients and therapists alike. Working with a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some adaptability to fit patient needs will be required.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate trauma histories, utilizing a trauma-informed lens to identify tailored treatment approaches.

• Craft and execute individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, resilience building, and overall mental wellness.

• Implement evidence-based therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group settings.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions that guide clients through processing their trauma and developing essential coping strategies.

• Lead group therapy sessions where participants can share experiences, learn from one another, and promote healing in a supportive community atmosphere.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care for clients, aligning treatment goals across disciplines.

• Provide crisis intervention support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective assistance.

• Educate clients and families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, equipping them with the knowledge to manage symptoms effectively.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation adhering to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team discussions to promote ongoing learning and development in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients served by our center include individuals coping with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Many of our patients face multifaceted challenges due to their histories of trauma, necessitating an empathetic and skilled approach. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as a LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Diverse expertise in delivering trauma-focused therapies with a focus on client engagement and empowerment.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred, candidates with direct experience in trauma therapy will be highly regarded. Compensation and Benefits\n
