Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds and treatment needs, tailoring strategies based on each individual’s trauma history.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at processing trauma, developing coping strategies, and promoting self-empowerment.

• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each patient.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating quick thinking and effective response.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, developing effective coping mechanisms, and utilizing available community resources.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in Maryland.

Preferred Experience\n

Maricopa Counseling, LLC offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
