Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while connecting with clients through telehealth technology. Although you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, the flexibility of this setting allows for a work-life balance that supports both personal and professional responsibilities. Your schedule will primarily follow a Monday through Friday structure from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to adapt to client needs as they arise.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate client history and comprehend their unique trauma narratives.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and enhancing resilience in clients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide clients through their healing process.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on helping clients process trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, prioritizing client safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, adaptive coping strategies, and available resources for support.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical guidelines to track clients' progress effectively.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions focused on advancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Continuously engage with the latest research and incorporate best practices in trauma therapy into your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be primarily working with clients who are survivors of trauma, including those affected by physical, emotional, and psychological stressors. Your role will involve providing support to individuals with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative symptoms, ensuring they feel safe and understood while navigating their recovery processes.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a mental health outpatient setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
