Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations, documenting findings accurately to create in-depth client profiles.

• Assess clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health using evidence-based tools and techniques tailored to their specific needs.

• Design and implement individualized recovery plans, incorporating input from clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic modalities that resonate with clients, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, or Solution-Focused Therapy.

• Track and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on client feedback and clinical observations.

• Collaborate effectively with a team of mental health specialists, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure integrated care for clients.

• Provide follow-up support for clients transitioning back from hospital care, coordinating with attending physicians to ensure continuity of treatment.

• Educate family members and primary caregivers on effective strategies to manage mental health challenges and support their loved ones' recovery.

The clients you will work with come from various backgrounds, presenting a wide array of mental health concerns including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related issues, and multifaceted family dynamics. Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated passage of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to tailor messages effectively to clients and colleagues.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a capacity for empathy and understanding in various client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to manage patient information effectively.

• Understanding of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacological treatments and their psychological implications, collaborating with medical specialists as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus.
