Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to assess clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting each case meticulously from the initial consultation through completion of treatment.

• Develop comprehensive intervention and recovery plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing evidence-based therapies.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open dialogue and foster a healing atmosphere.
\n
• Monitor client progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers to design coordinated intervention strategies that best serve our clients.

• Follow up on cases involving hospitalization, liaising with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure continuity of care.

• Educate and assist family members and primary caregivers in managing the mental and behavioral challenges faced by their loved ones.

• Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors that could hinder clients’ recovery processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will serve a diverse client population, including individuals across various age groups, cultural backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses. Many clients may present with complex mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience in the mental health counseling field with demonstrated clinical effectiveness.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency in the use of electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar software.

• Experience working with clients who have co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices put forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Comprehensive understanding of prescribed medications and their effects, enhancing your ability to support clients through various treatment modalities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by excellent interpersonal abilities and a compassionate demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 80,000 to 100,000, complemented by a generous sign-on bonus.
