Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments, including intake interviews, to establish a clear understanding of clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that outline effective interventions for clients, couples, families, and groups based on their specific situations and goals.

• Lead therapeutic sessions, both individual and group-based, designed to encourage engagement, promote healing, and foster social skills among participants.
\n
• Monitor client progress continuously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to address changes in their condition or circumstances.

• Facilitate collaboration among healthcare providers, ensuring that intervention strategies are cohesive and synergetic in addressing clients' needs.

• Provide essential follow-up care for clients discharged from hospital settings, coordinating with psychiatrists and other physicians to ensure continuity of care.

• Educate family members and other primary caregivers about mental health challenges and effective coping strategies to enhance client support systems.

• Identify warning signs of regression or crisis, implementing preventative measures to promote healing and stability for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Hillside, you will work with a diverse clientele facing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Your expertise will help vulnerable populations navigate their challenges, understanding the unique cultural and personal backgrounds that shape their experiences. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Arizona.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Experience in a clinical mental health setting.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems like AVATAR and familiarity with treatment documentation standards.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Understanding the impacts of pharmaceutical treatments prescribed to clients and their relevance to therapeutic strategies.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities.

• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly those with co-occurring disorders or complex psychosocial challenges.

Compensation and Benefits\n
