Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, which include psychosocial evaluations and diagnostic interviews, to understand the unique needs of each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions in various formats, including individual, family, and group therapy sessions.

• Provide crisis intervention services and coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless continuity of care for patients experiencing acute mental health crises.

• Maintain detailed clinical documentation in accordance with clinic policies and legal standards, including treatment plans, session notes, and discharge summaries.

• Deliver psychoeducation to patients and their families, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge to manage their mental health effectively.

• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, case managers, and social workers—to deliver comprehensive care tailored to the needs of each patient.

• Regularly evaluate treatment outcomes and make data-driven adjustments to care plans to enhance their effectiveness.

• Stay updated on relevant research, best practices, and emerging trends in mental health to continually improve clinical practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Driscoll Psychological and Counseling Center, you will work with a varied patient demographic, including individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State.

• Strong ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills necessary to establish rapport with a diverse client base.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling is required. Familiarity with telehealth practices and experience working in a community health setting will be viewed as advantages in your application.
