Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting comprehensive preliminary mental health assessments to understand the unique needs of each client.
\n
• Developing individualized treatment plans based on client evaluations, ensuring they are tailored to address their specific challenges and goals.
\n
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance client engagement and outcomes.
\n
• Regularly monitoring and documenting client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure effectiveness.
\n
• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers, to create cohesive and supportive treatment strategies.

• Providing education and resources to clients and their families to help them better manage mental health challenges.
\n
• Managing referrals and follow-up communications to ensure continuity of care for clients transitioning to or from higher levels of treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and other mental health conditions. You will have the opportunity to engage with clients of various age groups—ranging from children to adults—and to contribute to family dynamics through counseling sessions for couples and families.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong proficiency in delivering counseling techniques and evidence-based modalities.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and team members alike.
\n
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to client care.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor in an outpatient or similar setting.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate client documentation.
\n
• Experience with substance use disorders or co-occurring mental and physical health issues.
\n
• Understanding of the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
