Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and determine the most effective treatment strategies.

• Develop tailored treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and enhancing coping skills.

• Employ evidence-based trauma-focused interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist patients in their healing process.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions that focus on helping patients process and integrate their traumatic experiences.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and possibly other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Offer crisis intervention and support in emergencies related to trauma, providing immediate assistance to those in need.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical regulations.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development sessions focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay updated on the latest research and innovations in trauma therapy to enhance clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be integral in helping these patients navigate their challenges and reclaim their lives through meaningful therapeutic relationships and skilled interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
\n
• Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy and understanding.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates who showcase strong theoretical knowledge or unique insights into trauma recovery will also be considered. Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic techniques will be a significant advantage, allowing for a more immediate impact on our patients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
