Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial client evaluations, including mental health assessments and history reviews, to inform treatment planning.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans incorporating individual, couple, and group therapy techniques, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions that help clients address personal challenges and develop coping strategies.

• Lead group therapy sessions designed to foster peer support and shared learning among participants dealing with similar issues.

• Regularly review and monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs and goals.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, medical doctors, and social workers in creating comprehensive intervention strategies for clients requiring multi-disciplinary care.

• Assist clients in understanding and adhering to prescribed medication regimens and their implications on mental health.

• Educate and support family members and caregivers as they navigate the challenges associated with mental health conditions.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent in New Jersey.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated previous experience in providing mental health counseling services.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for maintaining client documentation and care records.

• Strong understanding of various mental health conditions, including co-occurring substance use disorders.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an empathetic approach towards clients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a community health setting or similar environment with a focus on holistic care.

• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
