Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to gather comprehensive client histories and document cases from the initial consultation through treatment completion.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health using standardized assessment tools and clinical judgment.

• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based methodologies and therapeutic techniques.

• Monitor and document client progress throughout their treatment plans, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, nurses, and social workers, to refine intervention strategies and enhance care coordination.

• Follow up with clients admitted to hospital care, maintaining consistent communication with attending psychiatrists and healthcare providers.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement proactive measures to minimize setbacks.

• Provide support and guidance to family members and primary caregivers regarding mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role serves a diverse client base, including adults, adolescents, couples, and families within the community. Our patients may present with a range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction disorders, and relationship issues. You will work closely with individuals in various stages of their mental health journey, providing not only professional care but also compassion and understanding to help them rebuild their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Arizona.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Significant experience (2+ years preferred) as a mental health counselor with a strong foundation in clinical care.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to document care and client interactions accurately.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience addressing both emotional and physical health conditions, as well as addiction-related issues.

• Familiarity with best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledge of the therapeutic implications of medications prescribed by medical professionals, and how they intersect with mental health interventions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear documentation and effective client interaction.

• Strong interpersonal abilities, coupled with a nurturing and empathetic approach to counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with potential sign-on bonuses.
