Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds and trauma histories, thus guiding the identification of appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and personal growth, ensuring each individual's unique needs are met.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective therapeutic outcomes.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a collaborative environment where patients can process trauma, learn coping mechanisms, and achieve a sense of healing.

• Work in conjunction with psychiatrists and other health professionals to deliver integrated and holistic care for all patients.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive immediate and effective assistance.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, resources, and community support services.

• Maintain thorough and confidential patient documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals dealing with various trauma-related challenges, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patient population is diverse, comprising adults and adolescents, many of whom have experienced significant hardships. Your expertise in trauma-informed treatment will be crucial in guiding them on their path to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and current license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, reflecting a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• A calm disposition, especially in high-stress clinical scenarios.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
