Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and craft targeted treatment plans.

• Utilize therapeutic methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in individual and group settings.

• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions that guide patients in processing trauma, developing coping strategies, and promoting emotional healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergency situations related to trauma.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available coping mechanisms tailored to their unique circumstances.

• Maintain documentation compliant with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate and confidential patient information management.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily support trauma survivors, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. Your role is pivotal in helping these individuals regain their stability, confidence, and overall quality of life. As you work closely with diverse populations, your ability to foster empathetic relationships will be crucial in encouraging patients to openly discuss their experiences and feelings.

Qualifications\n

• An accredited Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a relevant mental health setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
