Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to assess patients’ histories and craft targeted treatment strategies.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on promoting recovery and building resilience in trauma-affected individuals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, allowing patients to explore their trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms.

• Work collaboratively with other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and to monitor treatment effectiveness.

• Provide crisis intervention support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies and immediate mental health needs.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, treatment options, and effective coping strategies to enhance their understanding and involvement in the healing process.

• Maintain precise and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights and improve treatment approaches.

• Stay informed of the latest research and best practices in trauma-informed care to provide the highest quality of service.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing trauma, including survivors of abuse, military veterans, and those facing significant life stressors. Understanding the unique challenges associated with these populations will be key in providing effective care and support.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a mental health counseling capacity is required, with a strong emphasis on trauma care.
\n
• Extensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and a variety of trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Proficient in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to maintain composure during high-stress and crisis situations.
\n
• Strong skills in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications.
\n
• A collaborative mindset that values teamwork and communication among professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is required, candidates with advanced training in trauma interventions and familiarity with diverse populations will be given preference. Experience delivering group therapy and crisis intervention is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
