Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient's trauma history, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation that informs treatment decisions.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that guide patients on their journey to recovery, integrating resilience-building strategies tailored to their needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address complex trauma and facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions focused on trauma processing, coping skill development, and promoting holistic healing among patients.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to ensure a coordinated care approach that addresses all aspects of a patient’s well-being.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during emergencies related to trauma, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients at all times.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and resources available to support recovery.

• Maintain meticulous records, ensuring that all documentation complies with legal and ethical standards while also facilitating continuity of care.

• Engage in ongoing education through professional development opportunities, remaining informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including those with PTSD and varying degrees of complex trauma. Our approach emphasizes dignity, respect, and empowerment, catering to the unique needs of each patient while fostering an environment where they can thrive and heal.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting focused on trauma and mental health treatment.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine ability to connect with and support a diverse patient demographic.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and navigating various computer applications essential for clinical documentation.

Compensation and Benefits\n
