Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and tailor treatment approaches accordingly.

• Develop, implement, and periodically revise individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building, integrating evidence-based practices.

• Provide therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help patients navigate their recovery paths.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, fostering an environment where patients can openly process their experiences and develop effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive and integrated care for patients.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing strong clinical judgment and established protocols.

• Help educate patients and their families about the nature of trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and available community resources.

• Maintain detailed and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficiency.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, implementing new insights into your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, aiding in their recovery and emotional regulation. Our patient population includes adults experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Strong knowledge base in trauma-related disorders and an understanding of trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• The capability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations, ensuring patient safety and support.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
