Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and establish comprehensive treatment roadmaps.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the overall well-being of patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that encourage patients to process their trauma, learn coping strategies, and foster interpersonal connections.

• Work collaboratively with other health professionals, including psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for each patient.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies as they arise.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma, coping strategies, and available community resources for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate in case consultations and regular team meetings, contributing to discussions about trauma-informed care best practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research, methodologies, and advancements in trauma therapy to ensure the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This therapist will focus on patients who have experienced trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The ideal candidate will be adept at dealing with varied presentations of trauma, using a compassionate approach to address the unique needs of each individual.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.

• A thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building chemicals.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate, non-judgmental approach in all patient interactions.

• The capability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in clinical mental health counseling, specifically with trauma-focused therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience.
