Embrace Life Behavioral Health Center is actively looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our remote, full-time outpatient team in Edison, New Jersey. This role is pivotal in providing trauma-informed care to individuals navigating the complex challenges associated with trauma recovery. With a focus on delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, you will play a crucial part in helping patients regain control over their lives and achieve emotional well-being.

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your home while ensuring they receive the best possible mental health care. You will have the opportunity to interact with a supportive team of professionals who are equally committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients. Our standard work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and formulate tailored treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment strategies aimed at fostering resilience and recovery while utilizing evidence-based methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to support patients in processing trauma, developing healthy coping mechanisms, and enhancing their overall emotional well-being.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care that addresses all facets of a patient’s health.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and support.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma, effective coping strategies, and available resources for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment outcomes in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and pursue professional development activities to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Keep abreast of current research and developments in trauma therapy to continually improve the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals impacted by diverse forms of trauma. Many of our clients face challenges associated with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, requiring skilled and empathetic intervention. By addressing their unique experiences, you will empower them to heal and redefine their paths to mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is essential.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma disorders, trauma-informed treatment approaches, and resilience-building techniques.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, imbued with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• A proven capacity to handle high-stress situations with grace and composure.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications.

• A collaborative spirit, ready to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
