MedSphere Counseling Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our remote team. In this full-time position, you will provide vital mental health therapy services to individuals overcoming trauma. Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your own home. Our telehealth model facilitates flexible scheduling options to accommodate both therapist and patient needs, ensuring optimal care delivery. While the standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, there may be some flexibility required in response to patient availability. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand patients’ histories and identify the most effective treatment strategies.

• Develop individualized treatment plans targeting trauma recovery and resilience-building, tailoring approaches to each patient’s unique circumstances.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to effectively address trauma-related issues.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions designed to empower patients in processing their trauma and developing coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a team of psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach in patient care.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during traumatic emergencies that may arise with patients, ensuring a safe and supportive response.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and therapeutic resources available for further support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records while adhering to legal and ethical standards in documentation.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance your understanding of trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually improve the quality of care provided to patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve are primarily individuals affected by various forms of trauma, including PTSD, complex trauma, and accompanying mental health challenges. Our patients may come from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, each requiring a personalized therapeutic approach to support their healing journey effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and therapies, particularly trauma-informed modalities and resilience strategies.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstration of compassion and a non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant technology to manage patient documentation efficiently.

• Strong collaboration skills for effective teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.
