Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments, evaluating patients' histories to design tailored treatment plans.

• Implement individualized therapeutic strategies that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience, utilizing approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to share their experiences and develop effective coping mechanisms.

• Maintain ongoing collaboration with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to coordinate integrated and comprehensive care for patients.

• Respond to crisis situations, offering immediate support and intervention during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, identifying applicable coping strategies and community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development initiatives aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care approaches.

• Stay abreast of the latest research in trauma therapy, integrating evidence-based practices into your clinical work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is on clients who have endured trauma and may be experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and other related disorders. You will be part of a team that is deeply familiar with the challenges faced by trauma survivors, working collaboratively to foster an environment of healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in Connecticut as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure professional experience is required.
\n
• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and diverse treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience with trauma-focused therapeutic techniques.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, coupled with a genuine, compassionate demeanor.

• An aptitude for maintaining composure and professionalism in high-stress scenarios.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in various computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
