Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments that thoroughly evaluate patients’ trauma histories to determine optimal treatment plans.

• Develop customized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and evidence-based therapeutic practices.

• Implement therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored specifically to the individual needs of patients.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their trauma experiences, acquiring coping mechanisms, and fostering healing.

• Maintain close collaboration with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies to promote patient safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses and coping strategies, empowering them through knowledge and resources.

• Ensure all client documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consults, team meetings, and continuing education activities focused on trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of our practice is serving individuals impacted by trauma, including those experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at MedSphere Counseling Inc., you will be directly involved in helping these patients navigate their recovery journey, providing support that is informed by a deep understanding of their unique experiences and challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in New Jersey as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.

• Possession of at least 2 years of post-licensure experience, preferably in trauma-focused care.
\n
• Strong background in understanding trauma-related disorders and mastery of trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Proficiency in delivering trauma-focused therapies, including EMDR and TF-CBT.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient interactions.

• Ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations, prioritizing client welfare and safety.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications is essential.

• Capacity to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Compensation and Benefits\n
