Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand and evaluate patients’ trauma histories and formulate effective treatment plans.

• Develop personalized treatment strategies focused on promoting recovery, resilience, and coping skills tailored to each individual’s unique circumstances.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to address trauma-related symptoms.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma and explore coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrative care rooted in the needs of patients, ensuring holistic treatment.

• Be prepared to deliver crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques.

• Empower clients and their families through education regarding trauma responses, available resources, and effective coping strategies.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will work with primarily include individuals coping with the effects of trauma, PTSD, and related mental health disorders. Many of our patients have complex psychological needs and require a therapist who can provide them with understanding, patience, and effective therapeutic interventions as they navigate their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in counseling or therapy is preferred.

• Thorough knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to care.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, providing steady support to clients.

• Good proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
