Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements while maintaining a strong connection to our outpatient facility. Therapists will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Our work schedule generally runs from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and compassionate trauma-informed assessments to evaluate the trauma history of patients and determine appropriate treatment plans.

• Develop, implement, and refine individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and the resilience-building process.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective patient outcomes.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering an environment where patients can process their experiences and learn coping strategies to promote healing.

• Engage in collaborative discussions with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care, which is essential for the holistic treatment of our patients.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and supportive measures during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and security.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available coping mechanisms, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential case documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards.

• Regularly participate in case consultations and team meetings, sharing insights and strategies focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to provide the highest standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client focus for this role will be individuals navigating challenges associated with trauma, including PTSD, complex trauma, and related dissociative disorders. You will work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, ensuring that treatment plans are tailored to meet their individual needs and fostering an environment conducive to healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating proficiency in trauma-informed care practices.

• In-depth understanding of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-focused treatment modalities.
\n
• Proven skills in delivering therapeutic interventions tailored to trauma survivors.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

• Ability to remain composed in high-stress scenarios, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

• A collaborative spirit, capable of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is ideal, candidates with rich backgrounds in trauma-focused therapies or extensive exposure to crisis intervention scenarios will be viewed favorably. Experience in community mental health settings is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
