Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' past experiences and develop personalized treatment strategies.

• Create individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting recovery, resilience, and overall mental wellness.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide patient healing processes.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients learn to process trauma, develop effective coping mechanisms, and embrace healing pathways.

• Provide crisis intervention support during critical trauma-related situations while ensuring safe and therapeutic environments for all patients.

• Collaborate extensively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to align treatment and share insights on patient progress.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and strategies to cope effectively.
\n
• Ensure meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment outcomes in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with adults and adolescents who have experienced traumatic events. This includes survivors of abuse, neglect, significant loss, and other life-altering experiences. Your role will be critical in helping clients reclaim their narratives, rebuild their self-worth, and foster healthier lifestyles.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Texas.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and a solid foundation in trauma-informed therapeutic practices.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to remain composed and resourceful in high-stress situations.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in using computer applications relevant to clinical documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred, particularly in trauma-focused care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
