Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to identify patients' trauma histories and establish effective treatment strategies.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on resilience-building and effective trauma recovery tailored to individual patient needs.

• Deliver evidence-based interventions, utilizing methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that guide patients through processing their trauma, fostering coping mechanisms, and promoting overall mental health.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless integration of care for all patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients feel safe and cared for.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, resilience, coping strategies, and available resources within the community.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring quality care and transparency.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist will primarily involve working with individuals affected by trauma, including but not limited to survivors of violence, abuse, and natural disasters. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates who are passionate about trauma-informed care and possess strong clinical skills will also be considered. Prior experience working with trauma-focused therapies is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
