Work Environment\n

This position is a remote opportunity that also involves collaboration within an outpatient office setting. Our work hours are flexible, primarily Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional adjustments based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and create customized treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery, building resilience, and fostering emotional well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions that guide patients in processing their trauma experiences and developing effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for each patient, addressing both mental and emotional health needs.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, working to stabilize and empower patients in critical situations.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources to support ongoing care.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities that emphasize trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to enhance therapeutic practices and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on individuals who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. We aim to create a therapeutic space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and emotions. Therapists in this role will work with a diverse patient population that includes various ages, backgrounds, and severity levels of trauma.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey is required.

• A strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills, displaying a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, particularly in high-stress situations.

• Strong proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications.

• A collaborative nature that allows for effective teamwork with a multidisciplinary group.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly in trauma-focused practices, is preferred.

• Experience delivering individual and group therapy sessions focused on trauma recovery.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
