Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand clients' backgrounds and create individualized treatment plans for their unique needs.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each client, including techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients to explore their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and cultivate resilience.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during traumatic events and equip clients with skills to manage such situations.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping strategies, helping them to access additional resources as needed.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and state regulatory standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings, actively contributing to the ongoing refinement of our trauma-informed practices.

• Stay abreast of current best practices, ongoing research, and advancements in trauma treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily be working with patients who have experienced various forms of trauma, emphasizing those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clients often require sensitive, personalized care to guide them through their recovery processes, and you will play a pivotal role in fostering trust and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred and will be valued in your application.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated experience with trauma-focused therapies, showcasing proficiency in effective methods to assist clients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic and non-judgmental demeanor.
\n
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress environments, demonstrating resilience in professional practice.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and strong computer literacy.
\n
• A collaborative mindset, willing to share insights and work alongside a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years under licensure is required, candidates with a strong background in trauma-informed therapy, particularly in outpatient settings, are especially encouraged to apply. Experience with group therapy facilitation is considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
