Work Environment\n

This role will primarily be remote, allowing you to provide exceptional mental health services from the comfort of your own space. Although the position is remote, you will be connected with a multidisciplinary team through regular virtual meetings and consultations, ensuring collaborative and cohesive care. Our work hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a degree of flexibility necessary to accommodate the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

Your responsibilities as a Mental Health Counselor will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting trauma-informed assessments to gather comprehensive histories of patients’ trauma experiences, which will guide treatment planning.

• Developing and executing individualized treatment plans that focus not only on trauma recovery but also on building resilience among clients.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in individual and group therapy sessions.

• Assessing client progress and adjusting treatment interventions as necessary to adapt to their evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborating with psychiatrists, case managers, and other health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Providing immediate crisis intervention and support when trauma-related emergencies arise, ensuring timely and effective responses.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about the impacts of trauma, effective coping strategies, and community resources available for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintaining precise and confidential documentation, compliant with legal and ethical guidelines, to safeguard patients' rights and facilitate quality oversight.

• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development exercises focused on trauma-informed care best practices.
\n
• Staying abreast of the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continuously enhance your skills and therapeutic modalities.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a relevant field from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Solid experience in delivering trauma-focused interventions with proven outcomes.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on empathy and non-judgment.

• Ability to remain composed and solution-oriented in high-stress scenarios.

• Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software applications.

• A willingness to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework to achieve the best patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits\n
