Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Aurora Mind Health Advocates, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and collaboratively determine their treatment plans.

• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and emotional resilience, using evidence-based methodologies.

• Providing therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to the specific needs of each client.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions that assist clients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping strategies.

• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure that patients receive holistic care and coordinated treatment.

• Responding to crisis situations with structured support and immediate interventions during trauma-related emergencies.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
