Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients' trauma histories, strengths, and areas for growth.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery and resilience, drawing from evidence-based practices.

• Provide therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's unique needs, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to explore their emotions, process trauma, and acquire coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring quick and empathetic responses to urgent patient needs.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and resilience-building techniques, encouraging active participation in the healing process.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient documentation in adherence to ethical and legal requirements.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing training focused on trauma-informed care and best practices in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work closely with a diverse clientele, including individuals struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, dissociative disorders, and other related mental health concerns. Our patients may range from young adults to seniors, each with unique experiences and needs. Understanding and addressing these varying perspectives is crucial in providing effective support.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Aminimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective treatment modalities, with a focus on resilience-building and empowerment.

• Established experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and implementing evidence-based interventions effectively.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in using various computer applications to streamline administrative tasks.

Compensation and Benefits\n
